In practice if you surround an opponent’s counter they will die when Supply Lines are checked unless they are in a Hive, Factory or Smoking Ruin. Now a counter is in supply if you can draw a line to the respective forces Supply points and it doesn’t go through impassable terrain or is blocked by enemy troops. The other interesting aspect of this game is that units are fighting across deadly terrain and the rules reflect this with the Supply rules. As the Ork player, for example, do you funnel troops past the forward lines to take out the heavily defended hives? Or go for the first hives which are less defended but difficult to bring forces to bear due to the terrain map restrictions? What gives this game it’s replayability is that the win conditions are fixed but there are multiple paths to victory. It’s a more straight version of dudes on a map than Eldar Attack or Horus Heresy (HERESY!) with very straight forward rules and scenario. The second of Games Workshop’s Wargame Series to feature on this blog but chronologically the first to be released but the third which I purchased.īattle for Armageddon is set in their Warhammer 40,000 universe and pits the human Imperium force, on their polluted Deathworld of volcanoes, jungle and deadly ash wastes, defending their Hive cities while a vast Ork Horde prepares to crush them with overwhelming force. Then last week it was back to the regular schedule. They love trying to get the shrubbery, the Knights and the 1, 3, 5 rule! At one point we had 8 rules on the board it was madness! Monty Python Fluxx is the same formula you know from Fluxx but themed to Monty Python albeit with a heavy Holy Grail basis. First turn I picked up the E.K used my defuse. If it’s an E.K then you are eliminated UNLESS you hold a defuse card. You draw a card and play a card in your turn. If you’ve never played basically there are a number of, well, Exploding Kittens (E.K) in the deck. I was eliminated in round two of Exploding Kittens. One of Exploding Kittens and Monty Python Fluxx with children and it got very messy. Took me ages to establish exactly where it was, and really only had it established on the boards here as it was included on the laser disc some users had.First as The Phantom Nuisance escaped to pastures warm for a week there was no tally update for the week 30 July and a quick intermission. The "Where Eagles Dare" intermission was, I remember, oddly placed and isn't on the DVD. I've always been a bit geeky about intermissions, and am glad when they are included on DVD. Plus they were placed at reel changes and I don't think there could have been time for a reel to play out between "There's a Coach Coming In" and where I recollect it ending, so there shouldn't have been a reel change after"Coach". ![]() I cn't see why they would, and the entr'acte would have been on the first reel after the intermission. I suppose its just possible that some theatres may have moved it, but I doubt it. I'll be interested to hear if any shares your recollection, but I think you may be mis-remembering. ![]() I vividly remember it coming after the "Elizabeth, there will be three for dinner", then opening with The Preacher. While I was only seven years old, it made a big impression on me, and I still love it.īut here in the UK at least the intermission game just where it does on the DVD. I saw it quite a number of times on its first run.
